Introducing BeanPool.com, a New Community-Based Local Search Engine; Local Business Recommendations from the People You Trust
BeanPool, LLC introduced BeanPool.com, a new, free-to-use and highly targeted local business search engine that quickly finds reputable local businesses and service providers.
ATLANTA -- BeanPool, LLC, a privately-held Norcross-based company today introduced BeanPool.com, a new, free-to-use and highly targeted local business search engine that quickly finds reputable local businesses and service providers. Using BeanPool.com, consumers can find auto mechanics, contractors, doctors, dentists, hair stylists, plumbers, lawyers, restaurants, or any other local businesses that are rated, reviewed and recommended by friends, neighbors and community members. In beta release, BeanPool.com is focusing on the metropolitan Atlanta area.
"We believe there is a real need for consumers to have the best information at their fingertips when selecting a local service provider," said Mat Grell, president and co-founder of BeanPool. "Currently, when consumers are looking to purchase services from a local business they typically refer to their yellow pages book, coupon mailers or direct mail advertisements. These types of media do not provide the consumer with any information on the quality or satisfaction of these businesses. As a consumer, I want this information before I make a buying decision."
BeanPool offers members, at no charge, the ability to see local businesses that are recommended, or not recommended by the people they trust - friends, neighbors and community members. When members invite their friends to join BeanPool they are able to view all business reviews made by their friends. A key feature of BeanPool is that consumers have the ability to view business recommendations based on demographics such as metro area, city, zip code, friends of friends, or just friends. Grell gave an example, "Want to find a dentist recommended by your friends? Just select dentists from our categories list, and set the My Search Pool function to Friends. The results are filtered to only show dentists that are recommended by your friends.
Additionally, BeanPool offers its members the ability to create a My Favorites list. This list can be made up of favorite businesses whether they've reviewed the business or not. Once a business is added to that member's My Favorites list they can print out the page to attach to their refrigerator or to place in their address book.
BeanPool is currently offering its members a $5.00 Gift Certificate from Amazon.com. Entrants will need to write 5 separate business reviews and become a BeanPool member to receive the Gift Certificate.
